Paying tribute to the commitments of law enforcement staff, Dr Usman Anwar, Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police, has introduced a strategy intended to back the schooling of offspring of constables, head constables, those who sacrificed their lives, and brave individuals. This effort encompasses overseas scholarships for advanced studies.
IG Punjab Offers Scholarships for Children of Policemen
The IG highlighted the significance of uplifting the families of departed champions and accepted the unwavering devotion of the police personnel.
The inaugural beneficiary is the daughter of DSP Tariq Kamboh Shaheed. She is set to pursue her higher education in Germany with the economic assistance granted by the police department.
The law enforcement agency intends to cover the schooling fees and journey expenditures for the youngsters.
The Inspector General of Punjab additionally emphasized that more than 1,600 police employees in Punjab have given their lives while performing their duties since the year 1970.
Despite praiseworthy initiatives since 2017 to offer homes to the families of these brave individuals, the department is presently dedicated to providing plots and residences to the rest of the heroes using their internal resources.
The Inspector General also praised the law enforcement team for successfully implementing outstanding security measures throughout the region for the festivities of Independence Day.
