It has been reported that Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, the temporary Prime Minister, has granted relief to prospective MDCAT examinees. This decision provides them with extra time to get ready for the entrance examination.
Initially, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Commission (PMDC) had designated August 27 as the date for this year’s MDCAT. However, the governing body has now released an official communication regarding the alteration of the exam schedule. The following is the content of the notification:
After today’s choice, the MDCAT examination is rescheduled for Sunday, 10 September. The government had received appeals from potential medical and dental students to postpone the MDCAT. This subject was trending multiple times on X, previously known as Twitter.

According to the recent guidelines, the approval rate for overseas scholars has been established at 70%, a fact the students rejected as excessively elevated, arguing that no nation globally upholds such an elevated passing criterion for medical entrance examinations.
