While Pakistan marks its 76th Liberation Anniversary, the Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP) is thrilled to declare its awardees for the upcoming academic session.

The OPP is devoted to enabling outstanding academics from diverse educational domains. The OPP scholarship beneficiaries for this year demonstrate the program’s commitment to nurturing scholarly brilliance and inclusivity.

These individuals have been awarded OPP scholarships.

Wajeeha Amir

Wajeeha Amir, a distinguished individual from LUMS with a background in Political Science & Public Policy, has been granted the Malala Yousafzai Scholarship. She is set to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation.

Sameh Nadeem Hameedi

Sameh Nadeem Hameedi, an individual pursuing a doctorate, intends to explore the field of mathematical physics by examining partial differential equations and stochastic analysis as part of his research.

Jabir Ali

Jabir Ali, originating from Kundal Khokhran village situated in the southern region of Jhang, Punjab, has been honored as the 2023-24 Oxford Tareen Scholar. With roots in an agricultural household, Jabir is set to undertake a PhD focused on antimicrobial resistance.

 

Amna Baig

In partnership with Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government, OPP has awarded a pair of scholarships for the Master of Public Policy initiative. Among the awardees is Amna Baig, a skilled Pakistan Police Service officer.

Ahmed Salman

Furthermore, OPP has assisted a number of talented students with partial grants, allowing them to pursue their studies at the University of Oxford. Ahmed Salman, who received this jointly sponsored scholarship with the HEC, is set to delve into cybersecurity research as part of his doctoral studies.

Abrahim Shah

Abrahim Shah, an esteemed government official who achieved the third position nationally in the competitive civil service examination, will also be enrolling in the Master of Public Policy program.

Usama Salamat and Ajmal Husein

The OPP remains dedicated to aiding its current academics, such as Usama Salamat (MPhil in Development Studies) and Ajmal Husein (DPhil in Music).

The Oxford Pakistan Programme stays resolute in fostering scholarly potential and enabling learning chances for outstanding students throughout Pakistan.

Ahsan Mashhood, an Economics standout from LUMS, is set to embark on an MSc journey in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation after earning his distinguished graduation.
