Modern Crane Co., a Lahore-based manufacturing company, is looking for a software developer to build and look after the ERP system that runs its factory operations. The role covers production, inventory and day-to-day workflows on the shop floor, and suits someone who enjoys turning real operational needs into working software. You will work closely with the production, inventory and operations teams, and your work will directly shape how smoothly the factory runs. This is a full-time remote role for a developer with at least two years of professional experience.
What we're looking for:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in software development
- Solid grounding in programming, Git version control, database management and SQL
- Working knowledge of software testing methods and test-driven development
- Ability to solve practical problems in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional teams
- Clear documentation habits and a careful approach to deployments
- Good communication skills and a collaborative working style
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Build, customise and maintain the company's core ERP system for manufacturing operations
- Work with production, inventory and operations teams to turn their requirements into working software
- Design new features, improve system performance and keep the software reliable
- Write clean, efficient and maintainable code and take part in code reviews
- Test thoroughly with unit, integration and regression tests, following test-driven development practices
- Document software designs and updates clearly and support deployments with minimal disruption
