The Marine Fisheries Department, working under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, is hiring a Senior Research Assistant for its regional office and testing laboratory at Gwadar Port. The role supports fisheries research and laboratory work that helps manage Pakistan's marine resources. It is a regular government post on the BPS-15 scale, open to candidates holding a Balochistan domicile. Shortlisted candidates will be called for walk-in interviews at Gwadar Port between 20 and 28 November 2026.
What we're looking for:
- B.Sc with Zoology or Chemistry from a recognised university
- Age between 18 and 35 years, with relaxation as per government rules
- A valid Balochistan domicile is compulsory
- Willing to work at Gwadar Port and attend the walk-in interview there
- Shortlisted candidates must bring original CNIC, domicile certificate, educational certificates, one set of attested photocopies and 4 passport-size photographs
- No TA/DA will be admissible for the interview
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Support fisheries research work at the department's Gwadar laboratory
- Carry out laboratory tests and record results accurately
- Collect and organise samples and research data from the field
- Assist senior officers in preparing research reports and findings
- Maintain laboratory equipment, records and safety standards
- Attend the walk-in interview at Gwadar Port if shortlisted
