The State Bank of Pakistan, the country's central bank, is recruiting a Senior Cyber Operations Analyst for its Cyber Security Department in Karachi. The role sits in the incident-response function that defends the bank's systems and the national payment infrastructure. SBP is looking for an energetic, qualified security professional with a forward-looking mindset. What we're looking for:
- Strong background in cyber security operations, SOC work or incident response
- Hands-on familiarity with SIEM platforms, security monitoring and forensic tools
- Ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure during incidents
- Professional integrity and a commitment to excellence
- Willingness to be based in Karachi and apply through the official SBP portal only
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Respond to cyber security incidents end to end, from triage and containment to recovery
- Monitor security operations and hunt for threats across the bank's infrastructure
- Tune detection rules and improve playbooks for faster, more accurate response
- Coordinate with IT operations and other departments during active incidents
- Document incident findings and feed lessons back into controls and procedures
- Keep response plans aligned with regulatory and industry security expectations
