Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited, the country's AAA-rated agriculture lender with over 500 branches, is hiring a Head for its Planning & Research Department on a three-year renewable contract. The role leads strategic research and policy work on agriculture, banking and rural development, and oversees the bank's Annual Report, Business Plan and policy briefs prepared for the Board and regulators. What we're looking for:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree from an HEC-recognized institute or university
- Minimum 10 years of experience in banks or financial institutions
- Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with senior leadership, regulators and external stakeholders
- Adaptability and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Build linkages with academia, research institutions and agriculture departments
- Lead strategic research studies and policy papers on agriculture, banking and rural development
- Analyze food security, mechanization, climate-smart agriculture and rural poverty issues
- Oversee preparation of the bank's Annual Report, Business Plan and policy briefs for the Board and regulators
- Guide the preparation of Board briefs and agendas and maintain stakeholder contacts
- Manage departmental administration including budgeting and audit compliance
- Lead and mentor the department's research and planning staff
